The “Talent Building Class” is a pubic benefit program initiated by Overseas Chinese Charity Foundation of China to finance poverty-stricken and outstanding high school students in poverty-stricken regions. Since it was put into practice, the “Talent Building Class” has got great support from Yihai Group’s Board Chairwoman Wang Linda. In 2011, Yihai Group began to finance two “Talent Building Classes” each year, respectively in Jingtai No. 1 High School of Gansu and Yancheng Mingda High School of Jiangsu. All those who get the financial aid are students from poor families and students excellent in character and learning: they are exempt from tuition during the 3 years in high school; each student gets a subsidy of RMB 2,500 Yuan each year. So far, Yihai Talent Building Class has helped 300 students. Implementation of the Talent Building Class:
In Feb. 2013, Yihai donated RMB 500,000 Yuan to finance students from poor families and students excellent in character and learning in Jingtai No. 1 High School of Gansu and Yancheng Mingda High School of Jiangsu. There were 200 students in grade one and grade two. Each student got a subsidy of RMB 2,500 Yuan each year. In Sept. 2013, Yihai donated 240 uniforms to the students of grade one and grade two in Jingtai No. 1 High School of Gansu and Yancheng Mingda High School of Jiangsu, which were worth RMB 21,620 Yuan in total. In Oct and Nov. 2013, Yihai went to visit the teachers and students of the “Yihai Talent Building Classes” in Jingtai No. 1 High School of Gansu and Yancheng Mingda High School of Jiangsu, had colloquia with 200 students, and visited the parents of some students.
