At 12:58, on March 10, an earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale struck Yingjiang County, Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province. By 23:00, March 10, the earthquake already skilled 24 and injured 245 people. Beijing Municipal CPPCC Committee Member and Yihai Group’s Board Chairwoman Wang Linda was on a tour of investigation in Dehong. After hearing the shocking news, she immediately told Dehong Prefecture Party Committee Secretary Zhao Jin, Dehong Prefecture Standing Party Committee Member and Ruili Municipal Party Committee Secretary Yang Yueguo, Dehong Prefecture People’s Government’s Deputy Governor Gao Tieying that she would donate RMB 200,000 Yuan to the earthquake stricken area through Overseas Chinese Charity Foundation of China for the recovery of local education. This was the first donation Yingjiang County received after the earthquake.

He praised Ms. Wang as an outstanding representative of overseas Chinese and overseas Chinese businessmen, Yihai Group as a caring and trustworthy enterprise. Mr. Zhao Jin, Mr. Yang Yueguo and Mr. Gao Tieying also appreciated Ms. Wang’s immediate help after the earthquake in Yingjiang County, and thanked her for her selfless compassion.
